This is a free event to the public. In Honor of our nation's veteran's half of the Upper Overlook Parking Lot will be reserved for Veteran's. The Native Sons of the Golden West, John Bidwell Parlor # 21 will be on hand to assist the veteran's. Please bring your appropriate ID for a reserved parking space. Please remember that this is an extremely high fire danger year so please be careful. There are NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED in any area including 'Safe and Sane'. There is no BBQ, cooking or grilling allowed except in designated areas. Traffic on top of the Dam will become one-way (going in) at 3:00 p.m. on the 4th or as soon as the spillway lot is full. Oroville Dam will be closed to to all traffic at 5:00 p.m.. After that time you may leave by the abutment road on the west side of the dam, but you may not return by vehicle. All parking lots, including the Spillway, Upper and lower Overlook will be open until filled. There is a good amount for street parking in the area but be prepared to walk. ADA parking, with placard or permanent license plate only, is at the south end of the Dam, near the permanent restroom facilities. It is recommended that you bring a flashlight for returning to your vehicle after the event, portable chair and a light jacket since it can get breezy near the water after dark.
