Event Description
This introductory certification course is for individuals from all professional backgrounds that have a desire to become a mediator or anyone who needs to intervene in conflicts. Classes are held every week for 7 weeks. Upon completion of thirty hours of training, participants will receive a certificate that fulfills the requirements of the California Dispute Resolution Programs Act. Course lessons include:

Continuing Education Units:
This course has been approved for 3 units of Category I Continuing Education Hours (CEU’s). Nationally recognized standards govern attendance requirements to earn CEU credit. A permanent record of attendance is established and students may obtain a copy of their transcripts through CA State Dominquez Hills.

REFUND POLICY – Refunds are granted in full if the course is cancelled. If you withdraw 24 hours prior to the first class meeting, 100 percent of the course fee will be refunded (less a $25 processing fee). If you withdraw after the first class and before 25 percent of the course have elapsed, 65 percent of the total fee will be refunded. After 25 percent of the course time has elapsed, no refund will be made. Stop payments on checks are NOT an acceptable withdrawal from the course and will result in a financial penalty.
