Ballroom Dance Classes coming to Albany Tech Continuing Ed
Ballroom Dancing means fun, fellowship and exercise. Albany Tech invites couples in the community to take date night to a whole new level beginning August 11. Albany Tech’s Ballroom Dance course is a 6-week course featuring Swing, Jitterbug and Cha Cha. The instructor is local dancing legend, Michelle Oaks, who has been teaching ballroom dance for 19 years. “We decided to offer Swing, Jitterbug and Cha Cha because those are three very versatile dances that are enjoyed in social settings like weddings, parties and class reunions,” explained Oaks. “Couples will not only have fun on class nights, but they can also take what they learned and enjoy dancing to all kinds of music for the rest of their lives.”
The Ballroom Dancing class will be held at Albany Tech on Thursday nights from 7:00-8:30 from August 11-September 15. The cost is $130 per couple. For more information, or to register, call 229-430-3867.
