Event Description
Area residents interested in Dance, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Tennis, Toddler Sports, CPR & First Aid, or Childcare & Babysitting Safety have the opportunity to take classes through the City of Buckeye Community Services Department! Register now for the following programs:
 
Totally Tennis is a series of lessons where FUN is the priority. Participants “play to learn,” developing skills through a positive learning experience with a sense of accomplishment. Players focus on movement, balance, grip, and stroke development. As participants improve, additional skills are introduced. Programs are offered based on age and skill level. All equipment is provided. Register online for a 6-week session beginning this September at Youngker High School.
 
Beginners Edge Sports Training puts a ball at your child’s feet beginning at 18 months old! Core skills are taught in a fun, safe and loosely-structured, non-league environment where your child advances their motor-skills, listening skills, teamwork and so much more! The soccer and baseball curriculums used with this program allow young players to grow with program. Register online for a 6-week session beginning this August at Sundance Park. 

Introduce your child to ballet, tap, jazz, cheer, hip hop, or breakdancing in dance or select gymnastics which present tumbling basics such as forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and more! Register online for a program beginning this September at the Dr. Robert A. Saide Recreation Center.

Martial arts are a fun and effective way to stay fit and develop discipline, self-confidence and perseverance. We have different judo and karate programs for all ages. These programs teach fighting and self-defense techniques, and develop character in students. Register online for a program beginning this August and offered at Buckeye Elementary School, Dr. Robert A. Saide Recreation Center, or Sundance Crossing.
 
Learn CPR for adults, children and infants and how to deal with emergencies like bleeding, shock, and burns. This program satisfies OSHA and state childcare licensing requirements. Must be 16 years and older to take class. Receive a 2 year certification after the successful completion of course.  Register online for an August, September, or October class.
 
The Childcare and Babysitting Safety course focuses on supervising, caring and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting settings. Participants will learn diapering, feeding, CPR and First Aid. Receive a 2 year certification upon successful completion of course. Register online for an August, September, or October class.
