To show appreciation and boost U.S. troop morale overseas, West Community Credit Union is participating in the City of O'Fallon's “Support Our Troops Supply Drive” from August 11 – September 11. They will have a collection bin at their O'Fallon branch located at 4161 Highway K.

Everyone is invited to donate practical items like pocket-sized packages of nuts and beef jerky, batteries, personal care items and individual first aid supplies like cough drops and band aids.

Care package items most often requested by the troops, include:

Personal Care

  • baby powder/wipes
  • eye drops
  • Chap Stick
  • tissues
  • hand sanitizer
  • sunscreen
  • shampoo and conditioner
  • bath soap/body wash
  • deodorant
  • body lotion
  • emery boards
  • nail clippers
  • tweezers
  • small mirror
  • shower sponges/loofahs
  • Q-tips
  • women’s hygiene products
  • antibiotic ointment
  • Band-Aids
  • cough drops
  • disposable razors
  • hair brushes/combs
  • hydrocortisone cream

Please note:  Small sizes work best! Select items that will fit in a shirt pocket. No aerosol products can be shipped! No ‘flip top’ products that might leak. “Thank you” notes and cards are appreciated by the troops.

Stamp of Support

Your donation of $16.75 will pay the shipping costs for a priority mail flat rate box of supplies requested by our troops serving overseas. Please make checks payable to "H.E.R.O.E.S. Care," the non-profit organization responsible for shipping of items overseas to our troops.
