City of Haines City Lifeguard Training, Haines City Aquatic Center, 321 South 6th Street, Haines City, FL 33844. March 3rd (pre-requisite swim test & meeting), March 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 11th. Training & Certificate Fee: $275.00 (due on first day of class). Must complete the following pre-requisites: 300 yard continuous swim; Tread water for 2 minutes; timed event; must be 15 years or older on or before March 11, 2017. Course overview: The purpose of this course is to provide participants withthe knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. To successfully complete this course: attend and participate in all sessions; demonstrate competency of all required skills and scenarios; pass final written exam with a minimum grade of 80%.
