Event Description
Next Level Walkers is the Premier Walking Club in Castle Pines!

Next Level Walkers is about building next level friendships and enjoying exercise for walkers of all fitness levels. 

We will meet at Eye Level Optical in Castle Pines every Wednesday, 8:30am - 9:30am and will schedule a walk on Castle Pines trails for approximately one hour - though you can walk for as long as you would like! 

Every week, we hope to incorporate a new local business or non-profit into our walk. Please check us out on Facebook for any walk updates or changes!

NEXT LEVEL WALKERS GROUP IS FOR EVERYONE AND ALL IS WELCOME!
 
Castle Pines was in need for a walking group and Eileen & Angela at Eye Level Optical with supporting sponsors,  Julie Gibbons / Well & Company, Elise Mattson / Social Media … not only focus on eye health - we focus on overall wellness. We wanted to be known for community health. We’re  excited to encourage our friends & neighbors to get out & get fit.
 
Meeting every Wednesday starting at 8:30 -9:30am at Eye Level Optical, 7437 Village Square suite#115, Castle Pines, following with healthy snacks and refreshments.  Any information will be posted on these platforms - Facebook, Nextdoor, Castle Pines Chamber email blast and join our Facebook group page as well.  
 
Each walk will be an hour of amazing walks that’s about 3 miles and burning about 100 calories per mile but that is estimated by weight and speed.
 
Fitness Goals:  To provide a fun fitness outlet for all levels, create friendships and network while promoting c community health.
 

Safety Tips

Below are tips and helpful reminders for pedestrians to make your walks both fun and safe.

The Top 8 Tips:

  1. Wear closed toe, comfortable shoes that will not slip, Sunscreen and of course sun glasses/protection.

  2. Consider what you are wearing and choose clothes that drivers can easily

    see. Light or bright colors, reflective material and flashing lights are best.

  3. We will be walking on sidewalks and walking paths in the Castle Pines area.

  4. Important things to carry with you are water, a driver’s license or ID, and a cell

    phone.

  5. Always look for cars before crossing a street or stepping off a curb.

  6. Use crosswalks and follow traffic signals when crossing at street lights.

  7. Before stepping in front of a car make eye contact with the driver. Make sure they

            see you plan on stopping and have time to stop.

       8.  Stick with the group as much as possible.
