Recent flooding events have put a huge strain on many businesses in Fenton and surrounding communities; the Fenton Chamber is committed to providing assistance to these businesses. During the week of June 5th - 9th, participating businesses will choose one day out of the week to have their employees “dress down”, meaning casual attire, for a small monetary donation ($1, $5, etc.). If employees already wear casual attire, participating businesses may choose to host a themed dress day instead: St. Louis Cardinals day, college colors days, Hawaiian shirt day, patriotic colors day, etc.
This fundraiser is an easy way for area businesses to help raise money and provide assistance to those businesses affected by 2017, and 2015, flooding events. When a business is affected in this capacity, it is not merely structural with the challenge of rebuilding, but it also has a direct impact on employees and, in turn, the community.
