Event Description
Monroe County Museum is proud to host Remembering the Great War, a traveling exhibit commemorating the centennial anniversary of our state’s involvement in World War One.
 
The exhibit will be on display in the Old Courthouse Museum throughout the month of October during regular Museum hours of Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Admission to the exhibit is free.
 
All attendees to the exhibit will be eligible to enter a drawing for a gift basket from the Bird’s Nest Gift Shop at the Museum.
 
Remembering the Great War was created by the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University and the Alabama Department of Archives & History, with assistance from Industrial Design students in the College of Architecture, Design & Construction and Associate Professor Shu-Wen Tzeng.
