Boulder City Art Guild & Gallery will Feature painter Sita Loop during the Month of October
Sita Loop grew up in Richmond Virginia. She spent time with her grandparents, who lived in the mountains, and she credits her father for encouraging her painting and her grandfather for teaching her about the native tribes of the area -and beyond. As a result, she became fascinated by Native American cultures and especially the Western tribes. The West was calling her and she came-- New Mexico, Arizona, and now Southern Nevada.
Sita, has a passion for the Southwest and Native American Petroglyphs. She finds
inspiration in their visual Language.
Sita paints in oils, acrylics and watercolors.
Her subjects include flora, fauna, and still life, often
intersecting with Native American petroglyphs and the special meanings they have for her.
