Go Crazy for Color at Vesterheim Barnetimen (Childrens Hour)
Community Event Art Performances & Education Calendar
Preschoolers will go crazy for color during Barnetimen (Children’s Hour) at Vesterheim, the national Norwegian-American museum and heritage center.
“This month, we will search the museum to seek out vibrant hues in folk art, learn why we see colors, and experiment with blending and making new colors,” Jennifer Kovarik, Vesterheim’s Youth Educator, said. Colorful snacks will be provided. Activities will begin in the Main Building at 502 W. Water St.
Barnetimen is a free program that meets at Vesterheim Museum the third Tuesday of each month, September-April. The program is geared toward 3-5 year olds, but all ages are welcome. No sign-up is necessary—come to one session or all of them.
Barnetimen is sponsored by Amy and Keith Bruening, David and Brenda Carlson, and Norwegian Mutual Insurance Association.
