Event Description
Determination. Guts. Insanity. If you don’t have them, stop reading now. This is it: the race of all races. One hundred miles across the high-altitude, extreme terrain of the Colorado Rockies. Created for only the most determined runners. Starting at 10,200 feet and climbing to nearly 13,000 feet, you’ll be challenged to catch your breath - while the views try to take it away. The 50-mile out and back course is in the midst of the Colorado Rockies. Low point, 9,200 feet; high point is Hope Pass, 12,600 feet. Majority is on forest trails with some mountain roads. Pacers allowed after the 50-mile point (exceptions only by request).
This Leadville race isn’t for everyone. It’s only for the toughest athletes looking to challenge themselves - and impress the world. There is a 30-hour overall cut-off time with aid station cut-offs along the course.
