Dream Big at your Library this Summer! Beginning on June 9th, reading records will be available in community libraries or online; pick one up and earn prizes for reading. Summer Reading Festival is for all ages, with programs for babies, kids, teens and adults. Visit the Contra Costa County Library website for updates as it gets closer to Summer Reading Festival 2012!

Summer Reading Event: Author Jonathan Franzen
Jonathan Franzen, the best-selling author of The Corrections and Freedom, will speak about Autobiography and Fiction Writing at the Lesher Center for the Arts Thursday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased by calling 925-943-7469 or online.
This program is a kick-off event for the Library's Summer Reading Festival which goes from June 9 through August 18.
