PART OF 3rd FRIDAY IN MANITOU SPRINGS
June 15 – July 16
Dolls serve many purposes: they teach, befriend, comfort, and share. Dolls have been a part of society forever. They are a way to bond with other people, act out real life situations, and just to have fun! Dolls come in many different forms and media, breaking the language barrier and bringing people to the same level. Sometimes playing with dolls as an adult creates more joy now than ever as a child.
Since many of the dolls are crafted out of found objects, organic and plastic, old discarded materials are made to smile again. Other dolls have been turned from children’s dolls into adult dolls with a slightly twisted, yet fun sense of humor that will surely make you laugh and want to play with them.
The otherness of these dolls will surely inspire flights of imaginative play.
