The Pioneer Trails District is part of the Denver Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Denver Area Council serves over 35,000 youth in the Denver Metro Area; serving areas from Park County all the way to Elbert County, and from Douglas all the way to Adams County. The Pioneer Trails District itself serves the cities of Elbert, Elizabeth, Franktown, Kiowa, Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Louviers, Larkspur, Parker, and Sedalia.
Pioneer Trails District is one of the largest Districts in the Council, amassing over 3,400 youth members, and roughly 1,500 volunteers. In the last year, the Scouts in the Pioneer Trails accumulated over 8,700 service hours, 3200 Merit badges earned, and 50 Scouts attained the rank of Eagle Scout. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America continues to be the same as it as since its inception 107 years ago. We seek to “prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
