Committee of the Month

Jen Gelhardt left Albuquerque for 12 years to attend college and graduate school and returned to the Q in 2016 after serving in Indonesia as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Jen is now Deputy Director at Best Buddies New Mexico, a non-profit providing opportunities for friendship, leadership, and jobs for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

As Deputy Director, Jen supervises the Jobs program, assists with fundraising efforts and event planning, and supports the Friendship programs. Jen joined the Community Outreach Committee to reconnect with her local roots, promote economic development, and give back to her community.

Her hope is that the Community Outreach Committee will put her on a fast-track to meeting amazing people and learn more about the many amazing local businesses and non-profits in Albuquerque.
