AHCC Staff Member of The Week!

Orlando Marquez is the Destination Sales Executive for the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce Convention and Tourism Department.

Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Orlando is the youngest of four brothers. He attended New Mexico Highlands University where he played collegiate baseball and studied Political Science and Mariachi music.

He then moved to Las Vegas, NV where he helped create the 1st Standards-based district Mariachi program in the nation at the Clark County School District. After developing a very successful program, Orlando landed with the #1 Automotive Store in the country. He became the company’s Hispanic Spokesperson and was a featured character on the reality TV series King of Cars on A&E.

After spending 13 years in Las Vegas, NV, Orlando returned back to Albuquerque in 2014 where he worked as a Finance Manager for various automotive dealerships. He was later offered a position with the AHCC where he has worked since November of 2017.Orlando works in all capacities of the AHCC, but is responsible for promoting the City of Albuquerque and encouraging Hispanic/Latino and Native American organizations and events to come to Albuquerque
