Committee of the Month

Bio:

Shelly moved to NM in high school swearing she would leave as soon as she could (she was 14 and move here from Hawaii). She is still here. She got her degrees from UNM and has been in nearly every role at UNM including student, staff, and adjunct faculty and of course, alumnus. She is a registered dietitian nutritionist for 19 years, working in employee health promotion/wellness (for 13 years) teaching college nutrition and owning her own private practice.  She is a wife and mother of one, nana to one grandiose-daughter and mom to two rescue Dachshund mixes. She is the CEO, COO, CFO of her own business. She is a sole proprietor of her own private practice where she helps INDIVIDUALS have more energy through FOOD and physical activity. She helps ORGANIZATIONS create customized wellness programming and challenges.

She hopes as the Secretary of the Health & Wellness Committee here at the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber,  that the committee can let Chamber members and the community learn about more of the resources that right in their own neighborhood – right here next to them. We are there to help!
