Hispanic Heritage Awards*** PRESS RELEASE ***For Immediate Release Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Heritage Awards Banquet Contact: Luis Hernandez (505) 8429003 Luis@ahcnm.org On Thursday Eventing, October 18th, 2018, the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce (AHCC) held its Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards Banquet at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. ConverGENTE y Cultura celebrates the convergence of the Native American, Spanish and Mexican cultures here in Albuquerque and throughout the state. The AHCC recognizes the unique tapestry of the cultures that have been woven together over the centuries and has shaped this great city and state. Also celebrated was the Proclamation of Reconciliation that was recently negotiated and signed by representatives of the Caballeros De Vargas, the All Indian Pueblo Council, the Mayor of Santa Fe and Archbishop of Santa Fe. In addition, two well-known Hispanic Leaders received Lifetime Achievement Awards; former Ambassador Ed Romero and former Qwest New Mexico President, Loretta Armenta, who also served as President and CEO of the AHCC from 1995 to 2004.
