Day'Cation Destination - Santa Fe - The Capitol


 
Friday, February 14, 2020
• 7:00am – Meet up at Target (Paseo Del Norte and I-25) to caravan to Santa Fe
o We will park in the Capitol parking structure. There is limited parking space so carpooling is the best option.

• 8:30am – Coffee with a Lobbyist (Room 318)
• 10:00am – Morning session tours at the Roundhouse
• 11:45am – Lunch
• 1:30pm – Afternoon Committees
• 4:00pm – Break to head home
**We will be walking in and around the Roundhouse and meeting with legislators, be sure to dress appropriately


Gathering of Nations

The Gathering of Nations is North America’s largest Powwow, with a massive celebration that brings together thousands of Native American dancers and singers representing more than 700 tribes from Canada and the U.S. The event is held annually in Albuquerque on the fourth weekend in April, and is a great event for sharing and learning about Native American cultures.
