The Alice Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is happy to introduce next year’s board president, Marisol Carvajal-Garcia.

Marisol was elected by this year’s board members during its last month during its regular scheduled meeting. She assumes her role as President-Elect and will serve as board president beginning on January 1, 2017. Congratulations to her.

The summer months are here and we have many new people in the workforce. We know times are tough with our downturn in our economy. If you are looking for help in hiring someone in your business contact the Chamber as can assist you in finding you the right person.

When looking to hire this summer, do not hesitate in hiring those young adults looking for a summer job. Some of these kids are very computer savvy that may help you increase business using the internet, social media etc. Those straight out of college will be looking for a more permanent job so look out for them as well.

Our golf tournament has been moved to August and the Chamber is looking for hole and ad sponsors. Contact the office at 361-664-3454 for more information.
