South Texas Nature Photography at its Finest

The board of directors of Wildlife in Focus is pleased to announce that our exhibit of award-winning photographs is now on display at PlainsCapital Bank in Alice, Texas.

Our past president, Bruce Hoffman, says, “This incredible display of animal and plant photography shows the beauty and depth of wildlife in our area of the country. Without opportunities like this most children in South Texas would never know how wonderful this area is.”

These 258 amazing images were captured between January and June of 2015 during the record rains and floods in and around the Coastal Bend. Professional and amateur photographers captured the pictures on privately held properties within a 23 county range going from Port Lavaca to the Valley and out to the Cuero area. The next book published by Wildlife in Focus will be tied to new curriculum for wildlife education for Texas youth and these new learning tools will enable children to know and understand the importance of the nature in their area of the state.

Our newest book, Wildlife in Focus VIII is set for release on October 7th. A premier event is planned at the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. For details and tickets go to www.wildlifeinfocus.org.

Wildlife in Focus is dedicated to raising awareness and promoting wildlife and habitat conservation within Texas.
