From the Board President

We continue with the next resolution, which are the goals to engage wisdom by learning how to apply the right principles at the right time.
These resolutions are grouped into these categories: Private, Public and Leadership Achievements.
This month we talk about adversity. I resolve to increase my capacity to overcome adversity - fall down seven times get up eight. To get back to ones feet after being knocked to the ground is one of the most import traits that distinguish people who succeed in creating rich and purposeful lives from those who do not. Anyone who does not possess this trait in abundance or lead to develop it will never experience significant and long term success.
I want to thank everyone who attended our Mixer last week. For those of you who did not attend, you are missing out of some great networking opportunities. Our next Mixer will be held on Thursday, October 3rd at the Chamber sponsored by Ella Alvarez All-State Insurance.
The annual Lucien Flornouy Barbecue is just around the corner. If you would like to be a sponsor, contact the Chamber for more info. Our guest speaker this year is Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples. The event will be held on Oct. 10th at the Jim Wells County Fairgrounds.
