The banquet committee and Chamber staff are working hard to get the 80^th Annual Chamber banquet organized. Our guest speaker is Dr. Mary L. Gonzalez who is an Associate Vice President for Student Access in the division of Academic Affairs at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. We will name the Citizen and Jr. Citizen of the Year, Small and Business Excellence Awards and the Business of the Year at the banquet.
The banquet is the Chamber’s biggest fundraiser of the year that helps with the day-to-day operations. Sponsor tables are being sold by the Chamber staff. If you would like a table or individual tickets contact the staff.  A silent auction will also be held at the banquet. If your business would like to donate and item for the auction, contact the staff.
The last couple of months have been busy at the Chamber as they are working with the Alice Jim Wells County Economic Development to bring new businesses to Alice or the area. The partnership is working to diverse the local economic base. The two agencies are working on a demographic map and brochure to spur economic growth.
