Old Fashion BBQ set for Nov 9th

The Lucien Flournoy Old Fashion Barbecue returns next month with two great speakers on Thursday, November 9, 2017.
 
This year’s speakers are Christopher Moore of Raven Petroleum and Omar Garcia, President of the South Texas Energy & Economic Roundtable (STEER).
 
Christopher Moore is the Founding Member of Raven Resources, LLC, a petroleum project development firm. Raven Resources is currently developing multiple petroleum processing projects in Texas, Latin American and Caribbean countries.
He previously founded Spectrum Sourcing Group, Ltd. (Indigo Petroleum Terminal LLC’S parent company) and assembled a team of specialists to develop transload terminals servicing the expanding crude oil midstream market with a focus on crude by barge, pipeline, rail, and tanker vessels.
 
Omar Garcia facilitates communication, education and public advocacy surrounding the productions of energy resource in South Texas. An experienced industry leader, Garcia is an expert on business opportunities associated with the Eagle Ford Shale.
 
Garcia works directly with the oil and natural gas industry, local officials, community members, regional stakeholders, educational institutions and economic development organizations to ensure that the oil and natural gas industry in South Texas is advancing in a positive way that is mutually beneficial to both the community and the industry.
 
The Old Fashion Barbecue is an invitation only event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and serves an information gathering for its members and guest. Event sponsorship is $500 and allows each sponsor to invite 16 people to the event.
The Old Fashion Barbecue is set for Thursday, November 9th at the Jim Wells County Fairgrounds Merchants Building and begins at 6:30 p.m.
