Twelve Days of Christmas kicks off Dec. 5th

Bigger and better for the Holidays this year is the Twelve Days of Christmas leading up to Shop Alice on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

“Last year the Chamber wanted the local residents to think Alice First during the Christmas Holidays,” Chamber Executive Director Juan Navejar said. “We had a great turnout last year for the one-day event that we wanted to expand our Twelve Days of Christmas this year and have an event of some kind each night leading to the Shop Alice campaign.”

The First Day of Christmas is Parade Night, Tuesday, December 5th. The illuminated parade kicks off at 6 pm.

The Second Day of Christmas is Letters to Santa Claus. Children can come by the Chamber and write their letter to Santa and place in our own Express Mailbox. The Chamber will deliver the letters to Macy’s for every letter turned in Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make A Wish Foundation.

The Third Day of Christmas will be something truly unique and memorable at Veterans Plaza Park. Grab your coats and cameras and come enjoy the season with music provided by the Alice High School Bands.

The Fourth Day of Christmas is Movie Night inside PlainsCapital Bank.

“We will be showing a holiday movie,” Navejar said. “We invite you to bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the movie.”

The Fifth Day of Christmas has gone to the dogs, cats, birds, fish etc. It’s Pets with Santa Claus. Residents can bring their pets with a free picture with Santa at the Chamber of Commerce.

The Sixth Day of Christmas is Arts and Crafts for kids at RBVs Downtown Freeze.

The Seventh Day of Christmas brings Music to Heldt Park.

The Eighth Day of Christmas is Story Night at the Alice Public Library. Come by to listen to some holiday classics sponsored by the Rotary Club of Alice.

The Ninth Day of Christmas is Cookies for Santa at the Multi-Use Complex. Children will get to decorate cookies to take home for Santa sponsored by Wal-Mart.

The Tenth Day of Christmas is the Chamber’s Open House/Mixer. Drop by for some goodies and mingle.

The Eleventh Day of Christmas is Photos with Santa. Bring the kids in for a picture with Ole Saint Nick.

The Twelfth Day of Christmas is Shop Alice Day. We encourage everyone to come out shop in the Hub City.
