Board President's Memo

Feels like the year is really moving fast before long, my term as board president will come to an end. With that we welcome our five new board members who were voted in during the October meeting. Congratulations to Sandra Bowen – LJA Engineering, Debra Brooks – Edward Jones, Joey Riojas – Wells Fargo Bank, Rodrigo Rodriguez - Walgreens and Rummy Soliz – Boys and Girls Club of Alice Board of Directors. The new board members will be seated during the January meeting.

The Chamber still have some spots for sponsors for the Old Fashion Barbecue. Our guest speakers are Christopher Moore, CEO and founder of Raven Petroleum and Omar Garcia, President of San Antonio STEER. The BBQ will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9^th at the JWC Fairgrounds Merchants Bldg. Sponsorships are $500 and allows sponsors to invite up to 16 people. Membership Investment Statements will go out in January. We have been blessed this year that we added 31 new Chamber members and retained 94 percent from 2016. Thanks to our members who keep the Chamber going with your yearly investments.
