Happy New Year. I am Bertha Rodriguez. It is with great pleasure to serve as this year’s board president. I would like to take this opportunity to thank R. David Guerrero for serving as board president in 2016-17. Also, I would like to wish our out-going board members Ann Awalt, Ted Bearden, Richard Joslin, JoAnn Rose and Tom Turner the best and thank them for their dedication to the Chamber and serving on the board.

I wish new board members, Sandra Bowen, Debra Brooks, Joey Rojas, Rodrigo Rodriguez and Rummy Solis and a warm welcome to the board. Our first meeting of the year have us approving the Chamber and CVB 2018 budgets, appointing vice-presidents and committees.

This year marks the Chamber’s 82^nd Anniversary which will be celebrated at the annual banquet this Spring. Applications for Citizen of the Year will be available at the Chamber later this month. We will be selling sponsor tables as well which sell pretty fast. We are working on the guest speaker and should have someone confirmed soon. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.

We look to have a successful year and wish all of you the best in 2018.
