APD Perez named Officer of the Year

Alice Police Sgt. Aniceto “Cheto” Perez Jr was named as the 2018 Law Officer of the Year during the 27^th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner sponsored by the Coyote Cooks, Alice Chamber of Commerce and the Law Appreciation Committee.
Sgt Perez is a 37-year veteran of the Alice Police Department serving in various divisions of departments and programs
“Sgt Perez is a highly qualified administrator, leader with proven management skills,” Alice Police Chief Rex Ramon said. “Most recently, he help solve a cold murder case that dated back to the 1970s.”
Sgt Perez is the SWAT Commander, Recognition Program Manager, Telecommunication Terminal Coordinator, Field Training Coordinator and Fire Arms Instructor.
Aside honoring Sgt Perez, four high school seniors were awarded scholarships from the Law Enforcement Appreciation Committee.
