We are just about the middle of the year and time to start thinking about our future for the Chamber. We have a goals committee in place that is looking at reshaping the outlook of the Chamber. Earlier this year, we talked about expanding the mission of the Chamber to include the smaller towns nearby. Our mission remains the same to promote the businesses in Alice and Jim Wells County and by adding these towns we will be operating within our Mission statement.

The committee continues to meet and look at how we will achieve this goal. Juan Navejar, our Executive Director has put together a Strategic Plan in place for the committee to follow and guide us on how we will best accomplish this goal. It’s not an overnight project and will take some time. I believe we are headed in the right direction to continue the growth of the Chamber.

A big congratulations to our staff with its four Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Awards. The four awards are a recognition of success for the staff and our members. It shows that our members come first and a vital part of our success.

Lastly, we are looking for golfers for our annual Summer Golf Classic. The tourney is Saturday, July 26^th at the Alice Municipal Golf Course. Shotgun start is 8 am with registration at 7:30 am. We will have raffle tickets and mulligans on sale on tourney day.
