Where has the year gone by? As we enter October, the Chamber is doing great. This past year, we retained 92 percent of our members and grew by 23 new members. It’s a great indication to a dedicated staff and board.

The Old Fashioned Barbecue is next month with special thanks to the committee chair Kevin Downes and committee members Judge Karen Knolle and Juan Navejar for organizing this year’s event. Our staff is in the process of sending out event sponsor letters as soon as the guest speaker is confirmed along with the date for the event. If you are interested in being a sponsor or have been a sponsor in the past are want to sponsor again this year, contact the staff at 361-664-3454.

As we begin to wind down the year, the holidays will be here before you know it. Our Twelve Days of Christmas committee is working with local schools to organize this year’s events. Our Christmas Parade will be on Tuesday, December 4^th with our theme for this year “Christmas Around the World.” Parade applications will be out this month.
