Our Board of Directors have nominated five new members to the board beginning in 2019 and look forward to their acceptance in helping us build a better business community.

The 2019 board will be led by President Mellie Smithwick. The five nominees are Thomas McKinney – CHRISTUS Spohn Alice, Linda Lopez – Alice Cost Containment, David Munoz – United Home Care, Goldie Rosas-Garcia – Rosas Funeral Home and Joe Alvarez – Knights of Columbus. The five board members will be formally approved by the current directors during the November meeting.

The holiday season is just around the corner and lights are going up around town in preparation for the lighting of downtown and the Annual Christmas Parade. Our theme this year is “Christmas Around the World”. The chamber is accepting parade entries. There is no fee to participate. R. David Guerrero and Debra Brooks are lining up events for the Twelve Days of Christmas. Look for a detail list of event to be out soon.
