From the Board President

Feels like the year is really moving fast before long, my term as board president will come to an end. With that we welcome our five new board members who were voted in during the October meeting. Congratulations to Ike Ornelas, Ted Bearden, Mary Macareno, Mark Dominguez and Nena Pitts. The new board members will be seated during the January meeting.
The Chamber still has some spots for sponsors for the Old Fashion Barbecue. Our guest speaker is Texas A&M Dean of the Petroleum Engineering Dept. Dr. Stephen Holditch who will talk about the importance and the benefits from the Eagle Ford Shale project. The BBQ will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17th at the JWC Fairgrounds Merchants Bldg. Membership Investment Statements will go out this month. We have been blessed this year that we added 37 new Chamber members and retained 94 percent from 2010. Thanks to our members who keep the Chamber going with your yearly investments.
