Alice Ambassadors

Nena Castillo-Pitts

Happy Veterans Day to all who are serving or have served in the Armed Forces from the Alice Ambassadors. It is because of you that we enjoy our freedom every day. Like to remind you the City of Alice is having a Veterans Day Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 6th at the Alice Int’l Airport from noon to 7 pm. There will be lots of food, games and music for all. The city will offer free face painting, space jumps and free pictures with cartoon characters. Music scheduled to play includes, the Veterans Band, Fallback, Jerry & Ruffnex, Jimmy Gonzalez & Grupo Mazz and JB & Moonshine Band.
It’s time for election of officers for the Alice Ambassadors. I invite all members to attend our meeting on Monday, Nov. 7th at noon at the Chamber. Aside the election, we will be discussing the Old Fashion Barbecue and our role to make this event successful.
Don’t forget the Christmas Parade is this month. Over the last couple of years, the parade keeps growing in the number of entries. New this year is the Twelve Days of Christmas in which the Chamber will be putting on a different event each night to attract people to downtown. The Alice Ambassadors will be helping out. This all culminates with the SHOP ALICE during the Holidays campaign.
Lastly, we wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We are grateful for so many things and are blessed to be Americans.
