AEP Texas Director of Communications Frank Espinoza delivers keynote speech

There are three things that every business should be doing in order to succeed – leaders need to look forward, be mindful of first impressions and acknowledge the presence to follow up with a thank you is what AEP Texas Director of Communications Frank Espinoza said during his speech at the 82nd Annual Chamber Banquet.
Espinoza, a native Alicean gave a heartwarming speech about growing up in Alice and how it remains the heart of South Texas while thanking those who made a profound impact on his life.
“We know where Alice has been even with the downfall of the economy but we are resilient people. Business owners have to look forward and not backwards,” Ezpinoza said. “You have to be mindful of first impressions. You have to be welcoming in each approach. And always remember to say thank you to those who have visited you if you want your business or city to grow.”
Espinoza went on to say how you treat people makes a difference, to be involved in your community and never stop doing good because you never know what impact you will make.
The 82nd Anniversary marked a milestone for the Chamber and with it the Hall of Honor Awards which were created to honor those citizens who have participated in civic and social activities over many years.   
This year two individuals were inducted into the Hall of Honor for their commitment and contributions made the community – Linda and Eugene Nash.
Other awards included the Alice Ambassador of the Year – Ofelia Hunter. The Small Employer of the Year was given to Johnny’s Blooming Shop, Large Employer of the Year went to Wal-Mart #791. The Organization of the Year was awarded to The Beta Pi Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
