We begin the final quarter of the year and with that it’s time to begin thinking about next year with the selection of the incoming officers and board members.

First we welcome our newly elected board members that will serve until 2018. They are Pete Beltran, Chris Bryan, Marisol Carvajal-Garcia, Albert Martinez and Tom Turner. We are also joined by Richard Joslin who replaces Ryan Hawkins. Ryan has left Alice to continue working in New Mexico. We thank Ryan for his service and commitment to the Chamber. Our president-elect is Nena Castillo-Pitts.

A big thank you goes out to all our Annual Barbecue sponsors who made this year’s event possible. Also a huge congratulations to the committee headed by Kevin Downes and joined by Paul Rycroft, Karin Knolle, Sue Mudoch and Juan Navejar. We had a great turnout for the event.

We are also beginning our budget processes for the Chamber and the Convention Visitors Bureau. Both budgets will be presented to the board of directors next month for approval.
