The Alice Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Administration, Del Mar College Small Business Development Center and Business Resource Center along with SCORE Corpus Christi have teamed for a free Lender Networking Fair in Alice.
“We want to partner those who starting a small business or expanding to take advantage of new opportunities for your business by bringing lenders to you to network,” SBA Branch Manager Debbie Fernandez said. “Businesses need the right tools at the right time in order to succeed.”
The free Lender Networking Fair will be held at the Alice VFW Hall, 2200 N. Texas Blvd in Alice from 10 am to 1:30 pm on Tuesday, February 28th.
“We felt now is the right time for those who want to take advantage of our current oil boom and expand their business or startup a new business,” Alice Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Juan Navejar said. “There are some great opportunities out there and we want to link you to the resources you need to be successful.”
Business opportunities include meeting with local SBA lenders, free Small Business Counseling and training services, an overview of the SBA’s loan program. An added feature is a guest speaker who will share information about the Eagle Ford Shale’s impact on small businesses.
“I think this a great opportunity for everyone who is looking to start a business,” Larry Ellis with the Del Mar SBDC said.
