From the board president

The Chamber staff is working hard to get the 75th Annual Chamber banquet organized. Our guest speaker is Dr. Anne J. Matula of the Craft Training Center of the Coastal Bend. She is quite knowledgeable with the needs of the South Texas oil and gas industries. We will name the Citizen and Jr. Citizen of the Year, Small and Business Excellence Awards and the Business of the Year at the banquet.
The banquet is the Chamber’s biggest fundraiser of the year that helps with the day-to-day operations. Sponsor tables are being sold by the Chamber staff. If you would like a table or individual tickets contact the staff. A silent auction will also be held at the banquet. If your business would like to donate and item for the auction, contact the staff.
The last couple of months have been busy at the Chamber with contacts being made from new businesses who want to relocate to Alice or the area. We are seeing a lot more traffic in the city because of the oil surge which is a welcome sight for the Hub City. We are blessed as the city flourishes with excitement of oil boom.
