CORPUS CHRISTI - Cruz Maintenance and Construction was recognized by Texas Governor John Abbott as part of the Governor's Small Business Forums, sponsored by the Texas Governor’s Office, the Texas Workforce Commission, and local partners, are designed to give entrepreneurs and small businesses valuable tools, skills, and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s fast-paced economy.

Christopher Cruz was born in Alice, Texas to very young parents who understood in the power of believing in yourself. This wasn’t something they preached to their six boys, they also walk in that same principle as an example to their children. Like Christopher they too were entrepreneurs, having stated their own small drywall & painting business. It is here where Christopher learned the importance of relationships, to value people as individuals and their various talents. This is the Hallmark of his business, to invest and grow in good relationships that have ultimately contributed to his success. As an active community leader in Nueces County, Christopher has served as a board member for the Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Builder Advisory Committee in Jim Wells County. With a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Texas A&M-Kingsville, Christopher brings with him a vast amount of knowledge and information with a diverse set of skills. His experience as a General Contractor over the last 8 years and 10 as a subcontractor in the commercial arena have produce in him a unwavering commitment to his customers and employees. He possesses all the good qualities that help promote a healthy and thriving business through honest hard work that is coupled with integrity and great amount of knowledge in life lessons and on the field. Christopher tributes his success to the words that his mother often said to him, “Say you can, believe you can and believe in yourself, anything is possible.”

The Forum was held in Corpus Christi on Wednesday, August 5th it featured a wide range of instructive seminars and expert speakers offering vital information on both public and private resources, the forum provided a great opportunity to network and connect with industry specialists, government officials, service providers, and other regional businesses.
