Winter Golf Tourney Sat. Jan 12th

The Alice Chamber of Commerce is holding a Winter Golf Classic on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Alice Country Club.

“This is the first time we are trying a winter golf tourney but look forward to great success much like the summer tourney already in place,” Executive Director Juan Navejar said. “This will be a great tournament with a chance to win some nice prizes.”

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Club House. Shotgun Start is at 8:15 a.m. with a three-person scramble – “A” Player Handicap 0-9; “B” Player 10-19 and “C” Player 20 & Over.

Players have a chance to win an automobile by making a hole-in-one on the 18th hole.   Other hole in one chances have players vying for Premium Golf Equipment, Premium Electronic Packages and a choice of Airline Tickets or a Cruise for Two.

Entry fee is $195 per team or $65 per player and includes green fee, cart and lunch.

Payout prizes for teams finishing in first, second, third and fourth place.

Mulligans may be purchased on tourney day.
