Happy New Year. I am R. David Guerrero. It is with great pleasure to serve as this year’s board president. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nena Castillo-Pitts for serving as board president in 2015. Also, I would like to wish our out-going board members JoAnn Rose, Tessa Carrillo, Bobby Trevino, Mark Dominguez and Mary Macareno the best and thank them for their dedication to the Chamber and serving on the board.

I wish new board members, Mary Jan Jenkins, Gaylynn Storm, Andy Patel, Mirelda Salinas and Laurie Whitty a warm welcome to the board. Our first meeting of the year have us approving the Chamber and CVB 2016 budgets, appointing vice-presidents and committees.

This year marks the Chamber’s 78^th Anniversary which will be celebrated at the annual banquet in April. Applications for Citizen of the Year are now available at the Chamber. We will be selling sponsor tables as well which sell pretty fast. We are working on the guest speaker and should have someone confirmed soon. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.

We look to have a successful year and wish all of you the best in 2016.
