OPEN LETTER TO OUR BUSINESS COMMUNITY FROM BHS BAND:
Dear Bartow Yellow Jacket Band Supporters,
Each year, the Bartow High School Band puts on a Prism Concert, which is a performance that is fast moving and highlights every aspect of the band program. We will have the Jazz Band, Wind Symphony, Concert Band, Percussion Ensembles, Dancers, Drum Line, and special soloists. The show also includes a wonderful meal. That’s right, a dinner and a show in Bartow, which promotes the importance of music in our schools. Last year our event sold out, allowing members of the community, school board members, and of course friends and families of the band to enjoy this outstanding performance.
The Bartow Band is a very important part of our community that marches in parades, performs at Veteran’s Day performance, kicks off the Relay for Life Event, and celebrates with its community everything that is wonderful about Bartow. Right now we are working to find organizations that would like to sponsor this wonderful showcase of young talent. It is our goal to offset the cost of the event so we can use the proceeds to support our growing band program. Currently, the Bartow High School Band is the largest band in Polk County. We believe that our current students should have the same great band traditions as those who came before them. We would greatly appreciate it if you would be a sponsor for the 2017 Prism Concert. The Bartow High School Band Boosters are a nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible. All sponsoring companies will be promoted at the event.
