Social Media Lunch and Learn Set

 The Bartow Chamber Young Professionals will present a Lunch & Learn on Thursday, October 20, at the Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute Community Room located at 1855 West Main Street in Bartow.
Titled, “Turn Up Your Message,” the luncheon will feature Cathy Hayes, President of Crescendo Public Relations in Lakeland.


Hayes will speak on the definition of public relations, key differences between public relations and advertising, the importance of social networking and how participants can effectively utilize public relations to turn up their messages.


Hayes has been active in the marketing and public relations field in Central Florida for the past 10 years. Prior to establishing Crescendo Public Relations, she was a recipient of a 2005 Silver Anvil Award, sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America. She has led a number of public relations campaigns and specializes in building brand recognition. Cathy is also the co-author of “True Style,” a fashion column for Lakeland Local.


The luncheon is open to any CYP member or guest with an interest in enhancing their business or personal image through public relations and social networking. Admission is $10, and includes lunch. The Bartow Chamber Young Professionals is a professional development program designed to offer social networking, professional development and volunteer opportunities to ambitious young professionals, ages 21 to 42.
