The Annual Meeting highlights the past year's body of work at the Chamber and recognizes new board members. One of the biggest Bartow awards of the year is given that evening: the George W. Harris Leadership award. Past winners of the award include John Murphy, Pam Adams, Scott Young, Keightley Stringfellow, Jeff Clark, Andy Anderson, Sue Britt, Barbara Newell, Bud Mears, Brian Hinton, Ernie Cooper, Myrtice Young, Pam Mitchell, Tina Spath, Debbie Burdett, Anita Stasiak, Larry Madrid, Mike DeNeve and Len Jordan.

Nominations for the 2014 George W. Harris, Jr. Leadership Bartow Award are now being accepted. Any Chamber member may nominate a past graduate of the Leadership Bartow program. Nominees considered are those who have contributed significantly to the community, with an emphasis on government, civic or social service.
