Opportunity for NonProfits to get FREE brand work
 
There is an opportunity for non-profit organizations to receive FREE marketing help from Madden Brand Agency. Application are due THIS WEDNESDAY, October 19th.

Apply online at http://content.brandmadden.com/brandathon-2016-application. In order to be considered, the organization must be a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) based in Polk County and have an active board of directors. A selection committee will review all submitted applications to determine the final beneficiaries based upon predetermined criteria. The selected organizations will be notified during the week of October 23, 2016.
 
Brandathon is a 24-hour strategic marketing and design session benefiting multiple non-profit organizations throughout the Polk County community. The entire Madden Brand Agency team will be working non-stop to provide their best work to help these organizations tackle their most challenging marketing and branding objectives. On November 17, 2016, Madden will be working with multiple non-profits to provide valuable marketing tools such as new logos, print collateral, social media strategies, communication plans, event ideation and more!

ROTARY TOAST OF THE ARTS COMING UP!
Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Bartow Civic Center beginning at 6:00 p.m., the Rotary Club's Annual TOAST OF THE ARTS is coming up. Tickets this year are $60 or a special offer of becoming a table sponsor by purchasing 7 tickets for $420 and receive 1 ticket free. You will also be recognized as a table sponsor in all advertisements. The ticket will includes dinner, wine, entertainment, visits with guest artists. GIRLS INC. FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE
On Saturday, November 12, Girls, Inc. will present its fifth Father-Daughter Dance from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Lakeland Center. All proceeds will be used to provide scholarships for girls to attend the Girls, Inc. after school and summer programs. You are invited to join the Polk County History Center, the Polk County Historical Association, the Florida Humanities Council and the City of Bartow for the official launch of the newest tool for enjoying the Polk County Heritage Trail, the Florida Stories Bartow Walking Tour.
Developed through a generous grant from the Florida Humanities Council, the Florida Stories Walking Tour is a free application designed for a smart phone or tablet that takes you on a narrated, self-guided tour of historic sites across the state of Florida. Visitors and residents of Polk County will have the opportunity to explore not only Bartow, but Lake Wales as well. The Lake Wales Walking Tour will be available Oct. 29.
Enjoy music from the Sweet Teas, join us for the ceremonial download and then explore one of the sites a short distance from the park.
Parking is available at the Polk County History Center and in the
Oaks parking lot at the corner of E. Parker St. and S. Central Ave.

CULTURAL ARTS DAY
Students of Leadership Bartow Class XVII learned about one of Bartow's treasures on October 13 during Cultural Arts Day, when they visited the Historic L.B. Brown Home. Clifton Lewis gave a guided tour of the home. Planned by Leadership past chair, Mayor Trish Pfeiffer, the day included a trip to The Orpheum Theatre (under construction), art project at Sweet Magnolias, The Polk County History Center, Polk Museum of Art and Polk Theatre. Leadership Bartow is sponsored by MOSAIC and PalletOne, Inc.
