"Taking Care of Business!"

PRESIDENT'S CORNER: ROI

Used to be, businesses would naturally join a Chamber of Commerce merely for the designation of being a member. Is the business reputable? Find out by calling the local Chamber of Commerce.

Nowadays, it's a little different. Savvy business owners want to see a real return on investments (or ROI). The Bartow Chamber offers value items you can easily tally up - items like:

  • Events. Many of the events are free - notably the networking events such as Business After Hours usually held one Thursday a month. Add that number up.
  • Use of office space. Need a place to light? Stop in and pull up a desk, or schedule the conference room for a meeting. The Chamber normally only needs only a few days' notice to reserve the room and will accommodate 10-12 easily.
  • Ribbon cuttings. Absolutely. Have one, go to one. Meet the new business owners.
  • Learning. The Chamber has partnered with Polk State College at Clear Springs for meaty seminars on Business and Business Leadership that normally would cost your business a lot of money. Let the Chamber help train your employees. And a shout out of thanks to Polk State College.

And don’t forget here are services that can’t be directly qualified or tallied like:

  • Email blasts
  • Community Services - providing news of the community to its residents
  • Social Media
  • Economic Development planning and implementation.

There are many other ways the Bartow Chamber brings value to your business, and listed here are but a few. Thanks for being a member!

Until next week,
CLINT EDWARDS
