About Us

The newspaper in Battle Mountain, the Battle Mountain Bugle, was formed in 1978. The Battle Mountain newspaper is published each Wednesday.

The newspaper is the sister publication of the Humboldt Sun, based in Winnemucca. Reporters and advertising sales staff dispatch out of the Winnemucca office, but an office is maintained in Battle Mountain to handle classifieds and local news releases such as birth and obituary announcements, news of record and other matters.

The small but robust newspaper boasts a news staff dedicated to providing coverage of Lander County and its issues, in particular the local sporting events, governmental meetings and other civic matters.

The Battle Mountain Bugle is an excellent choice for disseminating information about your upcoming events. The paper distributes 1800 copies throughout Lander County and reaches approximately 65 percent of the audience available in that market.
