Paula December was a busy month. We had a great turnout for the Christmas Festival at the Civic Center as well as St. John Bosco Bazaar. The Parade of Lights was also well attended, even though it was a little chilly. All of our entrants clearly put a lot of effort in their floats as seen by the detain in each one. But the outstanding floats were Royal Hardaware- "Snow Globe", which won them First Place, bragging rights and the trophy on display at their store for the next Year. Second Place was The Colts "Gingerbread House" and Third Place went to Flying J "Christmas Catalog". Thanks to all of you who put inall the great effort. It made the Parade of lights so enjoyable for the whole Community.Special Thanks goes out to The Taylor Family for the use of their Sled and Horse for Santa to arrive in. Become a Foster Parent!!!

Paula On Friday January 8th is the Annual W.A.T.C.H. D.O.G.S. Doughnuts with Dad's from 9:00 am to 10:00 am K-12 WATCH D.O.G.S.© (Dads Of Great Students) program which encourages positive male role models to volunteer in their child’s school at least one day each school year. L.C.S.D. was the first northern Nevada school to adopt the national program and we now have one of the most successful programs in the entire state. Help Dylan's Fight
Paula In January we have Dylan Huddleston's Bingo on January 10th for 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Civic Center. Lots of great items for the Bingo have been donates by our local businesses and Community Members. Please come to the Civic Center this Thursday at 6:00 pm to help support this young man and his Family in their fight against Cancer! Winter Basque Festival
