Dr. Johnson specializes in all aspects of evaluation and treatment of bariatric patients. She has completed over 7,500 psychological evaluations, is a prominent speaker at hospitals, seminars and clinics, and has run a no-charge therapeutic support group for over twelve years. Dr. Johnson has taught various psychology, leadership, ethics, and human relations courses at the college level since 2000 as well.

Dr. Johnson consults to professional groups on a variety of topics, including workplace and personal self-efficacy and productivity, communication, and stress relief. Dr. Johnson has considerable experience in hospital settings and has worked with nurses, nurse managers, physician assistants, and physicians on psychological considerations in treating obese patients.
