"Holiday Memories" December Members Exhibit
Boulder City Art Guild presents HOLIDAY MEMORIES, an exhibit for the month of December. All Guild members have been invited to submit works for this holiday event.
The Art Guild will host an Exhibit Reception open to the Public on Sunday Dec 11 from 1-3pm at the gallery in the Historic Boulder Dam Hotel -  -first floot above the lobby.
In 2016 the Boulder City Art Guild is  celebrating their 40th Anniversary as an all volunteer, non-profit, organization supporting the Visual Arts in Boulder City and Southern Nevada.     Refreshments will be served -- of course!

AAUW Annual Home Tour
AAUW hosts the Annual Home Tour!  Join us as we celebrate our 41st Home Tour, we will walk through 5 homes- historic, modern, and just amazingly unique!  TIckets are $10 and can be purchased at the Boulder Dam Hotel Lobby 2 weeks prior and the day of.  The tour is a self guided tour- a map will be provided when you pruchase your tickets.  Tour starts at 1pm and ends at 4pm.  Proceeds go to benefit local scholarships and the AAUW General Fund.

Winterfest!
The City of Henderson will host its annual WinterFest celebration, December 8-10, 2016 at the Henderson Events Plaza and Henderson Convention Center, both located at 200 Water Street, in downtown Henderson’s Water Street District.
 
This year's event will feature a variety of family-friendly activities including an official tree lighting ceremony with Santa Claus, gingerbread house displays, roaming performances and an evening light parade.
 
Event admission is complimentary. Some activities will require paid admission.

We meet in the Steakhouse at the Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino.

December's luncheon will be our annual Christmas Party and Installation of our 2017 officers.  Opera singer Jesse Law will provide the musical program.

The public is invited but seating is limited and a reservation is required by calling or sending an email by noon on December 8th. The cost of the luncheon is $21 which includes tax and tip.

Jingle Bell 5K Run
Come run a 5k with us for a jolly good time on the Pittman Wash Trail.

This is a great way to get into the holiday spirit while promoting a healthy lifestyle. This event is open to all ages, abilities, and speeds. Participants can walk, jog, or run the 5k course and make sure to bring your jingle bells so we can make the trail ring out with holiday cheer!

This It is not a timed race; self-timing is suggested. 


T-shirts will be available for the first 350 participants.

Harmony Handbells Concert
Ring in the Christmas Season with the Harmony Handbells under the direction of Bradley Hendricks who will be presenting a concert of sacred, traditional and contemporary Christmas music.

There is no charge to attend, but a good will offering will be collected.  Refreshments will be served following the concert which is hosted by St. Andrews Catholic Community and Boulder City United Methodist Church.

The 14-member, volunteer handbell choir formed in 2000 and has performed at numerous events, including annually at the Las Vegas Spring Preserve's Winter Festival.

Second Annual March for Meals
The Senior Center of Boulder City will present its Rock, Roll & Stroll, an event to benefit its Meals on Wheels program.

This year it will be held at BiCentennial Park

The event also will feature entertainment and food available for purchase.  Those attending also are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and picnic baskets.

Those interested in participation can obtain pledge packets on the center's website, www.seniorcenterbouldercity.org.

Boulder City Fine Arts Festival
32nd ANNUAL BOULDER CITY FINE ARTS FESTIVAL
The Boulder City FIne Arts Festival is a  2 day outdoor Arts Show sponsored by Boulder City Art Guild, a 501c3 nonprofit, artist Co-op.  The admission is free both days.  There will be approximately 100+ exhibitors from the 7 states of the Lower Colorado Region. The festival includes a variety of delicious foods and free drawings both days.  A separate Scholarship Artworks Raffle will award works of art donated by the exhibitors and the sale of those tickets go directly to the scholarship fund.

Location:  Bicentennial Park on Colorado St (next to City Hall)

The Boulder City Fine Arts Festival funds scholarships for high school seniors planning to study fine arts in college. The Guild also supports art classes at  Boulder City Art Center
